Thank you everyone who came to see me at NOVA Con!

 

This was my first time exhibiting at a convention and it exceeded all of my expectations!

I was nervous about not having the graphic novel finished by the time of the show, but that did not end up being much of an issue. People were enthusiastic about the book and we sold out of the preview issue #1. We also sold quite few pre-orders, which blew me away! I accomplished my goals of building up a mailing list, getting some new fans, and networking with the Stranger Things actors. What more could you ask for?

I decided to take this opportunity to promote my magic as well and that worked out great. Demonstrating the magic was a very effective way to get people (who might otherwise have kept walking past me) to stop and take a closer look. I completely sold out of my original magic creation: Little Climber Man, and I also sold a ton of Tricky Worms! Friday night, I went up to the convention hospitality suite and performed a little bit of magic for some of the other convention vendors and staff. I think its safe to say I made a big impression on the people there. (I hope the video people were taking gets posted online so I can check it out).
